PRODUCTION PROCESS FOR STONE SCULPTURES
1. Drawing / 3D design
More than 30 years production experience, modern CNC equipment and the streamlined and efficient production and management mode, which can ensure our products have high quality and the best price.
2. Clay mould manufacture
Our clay masters will produce clay mould according to the drawings, and the clay mould can be modified repeatedly according to our customer's requirements until it is approved. Clay mould determines the final stone sculpture, and our clay masters are always committed to providing artistically quality clay mould.
3. Hand engraving
At present, we have CNC equipment, which makes our engraving work much more easier. As usual, we carve out the rough shape on the machine according to the clay mould, and then our carving master will do the hand engraving until the stone carving is complete.
4. Surface treatment
Finally, our workers will polish the stone sculpture, and then pack and ship it after the customer's confirmation. All of the stone sculptures will be carefully packed before delivery. After delivery, we will guide the installation of some special large stone sculptures, especially fountains or gazebos. we can also arrange the installation team to install on-site if needed.
PRODUCTION PROCESS FOR
CAST BRONZE STATUES
Design
Our designers design a bronze statue drawing as per customers’ requirements, this process needs to consider the size, shape, details and other aspects of the bronze statue.
Make a mould
Our craftsman make a mould according to the drawing, the model is usually made of clay or wax. we can make changes on the clay model if needed. The purpose of the mould is to check whether the design meets the requirements, as well as to determine the details and proportions of the bronze carving
Mould turning
There are two kinds of molds, one is made of plaster if it is not too complicated, and the other is made of silicone if it is complicated.
Wax mould irrigation
The melted paraffin wax is poured into the already made plaster or silicone mould, and when the paraffin cools it becomes waxy.
Make the shell
Shell making and mold turning are generally divided into two kinds, one is small or complex, we should choose precision casting. The so-called precision production, is to use fine quartz sand layer by layer to make a good wax wrapped. Then use high heat to burn the paraffin inside the shell. The other is to use resin sand box production. Sand box production is generally suitable for simple flat relief, the back of the copper Buddha statue and other not much process of the smooth surface.
Casting
The bronze is turned into bronze water at high temperature and poured into the finished shell or sand box.
Welding
The polished bronze carving is welded together to form a complete whole. After this step is done, we can basically see the general appearance of our copper carving
Polish and clean the welding joint
The purpose of polishing is to remove burrs and defects on the surface and make the surface of the bronze sculptures smoother. Cleaning the welding joint is to treat the welding parts into exactly the same as our clay draft.
Patina
After the completion of bronze statue, patina is needed. The purpose of patina is to make the bronze statue more vivid and realistic. The pigments are usually paint or pigment powder.
Apply oil seal wax
Sealing wax keeps our cast copper sculptures up to date. The bronze carving was completed.
THE PRODUCTION PROCESS OF COPPER CARVING IS INTRODUCED
All of our bronze sculptures are manufactured by the traditional” Lost wax casting” method. There are three main steps in this method.
Wax mould irrigation
Wax mould irrigation. The melted paraffin wax is poured into the already made plaster or silicone mould, and when the paraffin cools it becomes waxy.
Make the shell
Shell making and mold turning are generally divided into two kinds, one is small or complex, we should choose precision casting. The other is to use resin sand box production. Sand box production is generally suitable for simple flat relief, the back of the copper Buddha statue and other not much process of the smooth surface.
Casting
The bronze is turned into bronze water at high temperature and poured into the finished shell or sand box.
Then is welding, polishing, patina and surface treatment, the bronze statue is finished.
Meanwhile, we have established a strict quality control system, which can ensure a perfect appearance and high quality guaranteed before delivery.
At present, our factory can produce 5000 pieces of bronze sculptures of different sizes every year.
